Main Objectives

Project Overview:

Join our team as an intern to tackle the challenge of slow-moving inventory by creating a sustainable and maintainable business process for selling small remnant rolls of rubber gym sports flooring. This project will involve developing efficient practices that not only help clear out excess inventory but also free up valuable floor space and reduce holding costs. You will play a critical role in optimizing inventory management while contributing to long-term business success.

Main Objectives:

1. Establish Efficient Business Practices:

- Develop a comprehensive process to sell through small rolls of rubber gym sports flooring in various sizes, colors, and thicknesses.

- Reduce inventory dollars tied up in these slow-moving items, freeing up space for higher-demand products.

2. Inventory Optimization:

- Create a sustainable solution that ensures slow-moving inventory is managed efficiently, even after the internship concludes.

Proposed Problem:

The current inventory consists of small rubber gym rolls in various configurations that are slow to sell, leading to occupied floor space and valuable inventory dollars. A structured business process is needed to address this challenge and streamline the sales of these items.

- Knowledge in Pivot Tables, Powerpoint, excel and in Microsoft Knowledge
