Main Objectives

Project Overview:

This internship offers the opportunity to play a key role in expanding North American Sealing sales by targeting emerging markets such as Hydrogen, Electrolyzers, and Electric Vehicles (EV). You will assist in updating contact information for long-tail customers, explore potential new partnerships, and develop strategic insights to grow these accounts. Your contributions will be vital to driving business growth in competitive markets, where securing new accounts is essential.

Primary Objectives:

1. Research Emerging Markets:

- Conduct in-depth research on key applications, industries, and emerging markets relevant to the Sealing industry, including Hydrogen, Electrolyzers, and EV markets.

- Present findings in a final capstone project, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support market expansion efforts.

2. Engage Long-Tail Accounts:

- Reach out to long-tail customers to update contact information, identify new business opportunities, and recoup lost sales.

- Use KPIs to identify and strategically grow long-tail accounts, fostering new partnerships and expanding business reach.

Proposed Problem:

In a highly competitive market, acquiring new accounts is crucial for business growth. However, the sales team faces challenges due to limited resources for conducting comprehensive market research. This limitation hinders the ability to identify and engage with potential clients, ultimately affecting the sales strategy and success rate. Your role will be critical in addressing this gap.

Structured Plan for Success:

Research Emerging Markets:

- Investigate applications and industries related to Hydrogen, Electrolyzers, and EV markets to identify key opportunities for Sealing solutions.

Update CRM/Excel:

- Ensure all contact information is up to date in the CRM tool or Excel spreadsheet, facilitating better customer relationship management.

Engage with Long-Tail Accounts:

- Reach out to long-tail customers, update their profiles, and explore opportunities for new business growth and partnership development.

Final Capstone Project:

- Present your research findings on emerging markets and provide strategic recommendations to boost sales and market penetration in these sectors.

- Highlight growth opportunities for long-tail accounts and suggest actionable steps for the sales team to capitalize on new partnerships and business potential.
