Structural elements with cork for more sustainable and efficient mobility.
Amorim multilayer panel materials are a combination of cork in selected elastomeric compound matrix to yield specific performances ranging from thermal insulation, noise reduction to fire resistance whilst maintaining the reduced surface weight, depending on the requirements of the final application.
The wide applicability of our multilayer panel material has made it the choice material in several industries and applications such as flush, massive and multilayer door panels, super insulating window frames, partition panels for office and marine applications.
Depending on the panel application a variety of core options are available to achieve your project goals.
Our ACM product range is targeted already to the end benefit, allowing to mix and match several layers and thicknesses to obtain the final desired performance, being it for high thermal capacity, acoustic or fire resistance requirements. The endless combination of panel substrates with efficient ACM cost effective cork based materials cores, brings a sustainable nature to the end product.
Providing comfort with reduced energy use is the real energy benefit of efficient window assemblies. Low U-factors (rate of heat loss) are required to reduce heat loss through window assemblies, especially in colder climates where larger window assemblies are used for greater sunlight exposure.
The U-factor performance of the glazing alone is not enough to ensure an overall assembly performance, the application of Amorim’s ACM28 in the window frame construction plays an important role in maintaining a sustainable energy efficient assembly.
