Renovation of Tangstedt’s football pitch consisted of installation of an artificial turf system with artificial turf, backing layer, shock absorbing pad, sand and 100% cork infill - Amorim Nature 130.

Main Objective

The club's main goals were to reduce maintenance costs and guarantee safety in sports activities, as well as improving players' performance.

These objectives were achieved through the substitution of the rubber layer by a cork infill that have made it possible to eliminate the agglutination of granulates, unpleasant odours and overheating during use.

The new artificial turf also has the advantage that it can be used all year round, since it is resistant to rain and ice, which makes it possible to use the pitch for other outdoor sports in addition to football, which is one the club’s objectives.

“Even under adverse weather conditions, such as heavy rain or storms, the pitch remains in good condition. In fact, the official opening ceremony took place after two days of heavy rain, but the pitch’s functionality and conditions remained perfect.”
