Cork is abundantly used in orthopedics and podiatry applications. It has proved to reduce and prevent foot illness, resulting in a better quality of life. Orthopedic soles and other components are intended to correct, relieve and better distribute the pressure and shape in the interface between shoe and foot. Cork is a process friendly material which makes manufacturing components an easy and cost effective task. Cork is also used extensively to reshape custom forms.
