TAP Premium Lounge, incorporating cork-based solutions, is distinguished in the A'Design Awards
The space incorporates various cork-based solutions - in particular wall coverings supplied by Amorim Cork Composites.Designed by Miguel Arruda Arquitectos Associados, TAP Premium Lounge in the Humberto Delgado airport in Lisbon, which incorporates various cork-based solutions, has been distinguished in the A'Design Awards 2017-2018, described by the organization as the “world's largest and most influential design award”.
The design aims to be visually appealing and provide greater comfort for passengers, regardless of their length of stay in the lounge. Due to its soft and pleasant touch, cork makes a great contribution to achieving these objectives.
The dark tone of Amorim Cork Composites’ expanded cork agglomerate, used in the wall covering, also ensures a high level of acoustic performance for the lounge.
The cork-based flooring is supplied by Amorim Revestimentos.

TAP Premium Lounge
With a total area about 800 m2 and space for 260 people, the VIP Lounge in Humberto Delgado Airport is in the Schengen area, overlooking the runway.
It's an ample space, which includes rest areas, a children area, a business center, catering zone, and bar (in these zones the cork flooring was waterproofed with varnish) and has personalized service.
