RIP Bushing Inlay

RIP Bushing Inlay

Crack prevention in resin impregnated bushings.

RIP cork rubber Inlay is a practical solution for the RIP Condenser/Bushing technology manufacturing process.

It serves as an excellent stress/dimensional absorber during the resin impregnation process, absorbing contradicting dimensional changes. Due to the expansion of the internal metal conductor and the contraction of the external RIP isolator during the curing process, preventing cracking of the resin insulator and reducing quality issues. It also increases the life cycle of the RIP Condenser/Bushing due absorbing the dissimilar thermal materials expansion due to the high voltage current.

  • Long lasting quality

Due to the expansion of the internal metal conductor and the contraction of the external RIP isolator during the curing process in the manufacturing of RIP condensers, the RIP cork rubber inlay displaces volume within itself due to corks cell structure (low poisson ration), preventing the cracking of the resin insulator and reducing quality issues. In the same way it also increases the life cycle of the RIP Condenser/Bushing by compressing and recovering dimensionally accompanying dissimilar materials thermal expansion caused by high voltage current passing through the metal core.
